About the Health Coalition

The Health Coalition is proud to partner with several local organizations to support various community initiatives. Our collaborations focus on providing essential services and addressing pressing health concerns for vulnerable populations such as those struggling with mental health, substance abuse, the aging community, disabled youth, and families. Our coalition supports several programs that are making a positive impact in our community.

Programs we Support

  • The United Way 2-1-1 directory is a great resource for addressing unmet needs in our county.
  • The IU Health LaPorte Hospital Community Health and Dental Center provides healthcare services to underserved individuals regardless of their ability to pay.
  • HealthLinc is committed to providing community health services on a sliding scale to assist underinsured and underserved individuals.
  • Franciscan Alliance’s Open Door Community Alliance provides pharmaceutical assistance to bridge gaps in healthcare access.
  • The Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana is a valuable partner in our fight against substance abuse in our county.

We are honored to collaborate with these programs and many others to improve the health and well-being of our community. The Healthy Communities Coalition meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 8:00-9:30 am from January to November.
